Mars is my favorite planet. Initially, it was simply because of its “REDness”, my favorite color by the way. But I’ve been more and more fascinated to it as time went by. See, I even have the title of this blog have something to do with Mars, like some other blog I used to have.
As for the quote, I actually thought I’d be having a hard time looking for one that has something to do with Mars. But I proved myself wrong. There are a plenitude - uhh, not really that much but I have a lot of choices. Here are some other quotes related to Mars I just want to share.
“Before we go there and set up greenhouses, dance clubs, and falafel stands, let’s make sure that, in some subtle form that could be harmed by the human hubbub, life does not already exist there. If not, then by all means build cities, plant forests and fill lakes and streams with trout — bring life to Mars and Mars to life. We’ll then be the Martians we’ve been dreaming about for all these years.”- David Grinspoon
“Space flights are merely an escape, a fleeing away from oneself, because it is easier to go to Mars or to the moon than it is to penetrate one’s own being.” - Carl Gustav Jung
“Every day, we get a little bit closer to the kind of expertise and the kind of experience we’re going to need to go there. I’d love to be the guy walking on Mars.” - John L. Phillips
“I almost feel like Mars has been taking care of me for all of these years. ” - Ann Robinson
“The thing that sets Mars apart is that it is the one planet that is enough like Earth that you can imagine life possibly once having taken hold there.” - Steven Squyres
“We constantly learn new lessons up here. The experiences we gather will enable us to establish a long-term station on the moon and to go on to Mars.” - John Phillips
